How does it work?

Drop your video: a title is added and selected. Edit its text on the right, and choose from 5 fonts, its size, its color and, if you like, a subtitle-style background.

Drag the text directly on the preview to position it. In the timeline, the text track shows when it appears: drag its edges to set its duration. Choose a fade or slide entrance.

Add more texts with the “Add a text” button: they are placed at the playhead.

Hand-made captions

For a 30 s video, create one text per sentence, white on a black background, size 60, placed at 85% of the height. Duplicate the first one (Ctrl/Cmd + D) to keep the same style: six 5 s sentences cover the video.

Frequently asked questions

Which fonts are available?
Five built-in open fonts: Geist (modern), Anton and Bebas Neue (punchy titles), Playfair Display (elegant) and Caveat (handwritten). They are included in the site: no external service is called.
Can the text run off the picture?
No: the text always stays fully visible, even at the edge of the picture. For long text, add line breaks in the input field or reduce the size.
Can I generate subtitles automatically?
Yes, with our automatic subtitles tool: speech is transcribed by your browser, on your device, then the subtitles can be exported as SRT or burned into the video. Here, texts are entered by hand.
Are my videos uploaded to a server?
No. Files are read, edited and encoded in your browser, on your device. No video, image or music is uploaded: you can even disconnect once the page has loaded. Closing the tab erases the project.
